When you have already seen Rome from Fontana di Trevi to the Saint Peters Cathedral, eaten all the carbonara in the city and taken all the amazing photos for your Insta, it’s now time for shopping! My name is Karolina (@karolinasworld) and here is my guide on the best places to shop and eat in Rome, Italy.
Dearest D-RAVEL traveler,
Yes, it is considered a crime if you come to Italy and don’t shop in Rome. My experience on holiday in this Italian city allowed me to explore the area and all of the shopping it has to offer. This is a short guide to point you in the right direction when touring Rome!
Let’s start with the heart of Rome – the city centre. Here you have the following options:
Via del Corso
Via del Corso is a street where you will find the most street shops such as H&M, Zara, Mango, Intimissimi, Sephora etc. When you want to take a break from shopping, you can go to Zuma, a Japanese restaurant located directly above the Fendi store, or Salotto42, a bar where you can have the most stylish aperitifs in the city.
Via Condotti
Our next stop is Via Condotti, the most luxurious street in Rome with the most prestigious stores such as Dolce & Gabbana, Bulgari, Gucci, Dior and many others. Here you can enjoy coffee in the city’s most historic bar Antico Caffè Greco (open since 1760). At the end of Via Condotti you will find Piazza di Spagna, the famous Spanish steps, where you can enjoy tea at Babington’s Tea Rooms.
La Rinascente
The last shopping area I recommend is La Rinsacente, a freshly renovated shopping centre near the Trevi Fountain with every high-end shop that you can imagine. Here you can shop from Pinko to Gucci and find all the exclusive makeup brands such as Dolce & Gabbana’s beauty line. I must recommend to eat pizza at Sorbillo and then have a drink at the Up Sunset Bar.
Rome is an incredibly beautiful city where you will fall in love with its architecture, food and shopping of course!
